Solar-rated cable has a projected market growth of up to 400% for the next financial year.
Normally supplied in reels or drums of 30, 100, or 500 metres, our Solar Cable uses a Tinned Copper Conductor, manufactured in Australia, to AS/NZS 1125. The copper is Oxygen Free High Conductivity Copper that we use specifically for its high electric and thermal conductivity.
The insulation properties are V90HT, to the AS/NZS 3808:2000 standard. The sheath material is a Nitrile-modified PVC V90 (NBR) to AS/NZS 3808:2000.
Solar cable is currently experiencing strong market growth, and NorCab is leading the way by having our manufacturers produce standards-compliant solar cable to suit specific customer requirements.
Features:
- High electric and thermal conductivity
Because OFHC contains only very small quantities of oxygen and other impurities it provides excellent electric and thermal conductivity. - Excellent hydrogen enbrittlement resistance
Tough Pitch Copper (TPC) becomes very brittle when it is heated at higher than 600° C under a reduction gas atmosphere including hydrogen gas. Because OFHC has a very low oxygen content it does not show any brittleness.
